Welcome to Oregon Battle of the Books!
We will be doing the Oregon Battle of the Books again this year. I am so excited to get the students ready. The books are amazing and a lot of fun to read. Some may not know what it is so I have included the explanation from the website. If you have any more questions please contact me through email or you can click on the graphic above to go to the official website. As we get closer there will be more dates and details added so check back soon.

The ,
OBOB, is a statewide voluntary reading motivation and comprehension program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Libraries in conjunction with a Library Services and Technology Act grant. Students in 3rd-12th grade, regardless of ability, are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles and viewpoints. The mission is to encourage and recognize students who enjoy reading, to broaden reading interests, to increase reading comprehension, promote academic excellence, and to promote cooperative learning and teamwork among students.
This is a program which is run completely by volunteers through the Oregon Association of School Libraries, OASL, and funded partially through the Library Services and Technology Act, LSTA.
What is OBOB all about?
Watch this video created by Glencoe Elementary that talks about why we do it, the impact to students, and what it looks like during a battle.
