When you return, discuss general observations made on the field trip with your group. As a group, focus on ONE potential problem/opportunity/issue facing the City of èapp as it develops in the future. (15 minutes) Individually, spend 15 minutes writing about potential solutions to the problem or issue your group identified. Use a separate piece of paper. Consider moral, ethical, social, economic and/or environmental implications. Consider international dimensions. Are there other cities with the same problem? What have they done? Results? As a group, generate 3 different proposals in response to your problem/issue. Include data in your proposals. Emphasize the role of science in solving your problem. Outline the pros and cons of each proposal. Address how this proposal might be adapted for another city in another country. Address what the moral, ethical, social, economic and/or environmental implications are of your proposals.
