CHANGES TO OUR REGISTRATION PROCESS: ACTION IS REQUIRED TO KEEP A PHYSICAL ON FILE 12.19.25
We are pleased to announce that PIL Athletics will be launching a new registration platform for both High School and Middle School sports in January 2025, called . This platform will be ready just in time for our Spring Registration.
Play On Sports works with the many different systems and platforms that we use within PIL Athletics that will help make the registration and clearance process more streamlined than Arbiter Sports/Family ID for both parents and our department. Some of the platforms Play On Sports syncs with are Synergy for registration, NFHS for streaming, OSAA for game schedules, and our new online ticketing system, Go Fan. With this new registration system we will also get new websites for our , all of our high schools, and middle school cluster websites.
With this transfer of platforms we ask that parents be sure to download a copy of their students' most recent sports physical from the Arbiter/FamilyID platform so they may upload it to the new system. We ask that this is done by January 1, 2025 before our current platform, Arbiter Sports/Family ID is no longer accessible.

We are very fortunate to have such a knowledgeable resource like Mr. Jacinto at our school, and we are very fortunate he is willing to take the time to help out our program. That said, Mr. Jacinto opens the weight room at 7:00 AM before school on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. He also has several printouts of the boys basketball pre-season workout program available for our use. For those players who are serious about improving their abilities on the court and avoiding injuries during the basketball season, I cannot stress enough the importance of training and conditioning off the court. Please do not pass up this opportunity, and make it a priority to attend these morning workouts with Mr. Jacinto. I can assure you your potential on the basketball court will only benefit from making pre-season off-court workouts a priority.Fall WorkoutsMonday, 10/28: 6:00 - 8:00 PM (FHS Gym)Wednesday, 10/30: 6:00 - 8:00 PM (FHS Gym)Saturday, 11/2: 10:00 - 11:30 AM (FHS Weight Room / Track)Monday, 11/4: 6:00 - 8:00 PM (FHS Gym)Wednesday, 11/6: 6:00 - 8:00 PM (FHS Gym)Thursday, 11/7: 5:30 - 7:00 PM (FHS Weight Room / Track)Monday, 11/11: 6:00 - 8:00 PM (FHS Gym)Tuesday, 11/12: 5:30 - 7:00 PM (FHS Weight Room / Track)Wednesday, 11/13: 6:00 - 8:00 PM (FHS Gym)Fall Sports Participants: Students participating in a Fall sport at FHS should make that commitment their priority, and should not attend Fall basketball workouts.TRYOUTS AND TEAM SELECTION: Please see below for the FHS boys basketball tryout schedule. PIL Athletics Mission Statement
-
The mission of high school athletics is to promote participation and sportsmanship through a competitive interscholastic athletic program.
Every athlete is provided with opportunities, positive recognition, and learning experiences that support and maximize the academic goals of our high school.
Athletics utilize experiences that are inherently educational to foster lifelong lessons such as teamwork and self-discipline, while facilitating the physical and emotional development of our student athletes.
Franklin Athletic Philosophy
-
Franklin High School is committed to the values taught by athletic competition: sportsmanship, self-discipline, and perseverance. Most importantly, Franklin’s athletic teams provide an opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to learn the value of teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect. Through participation in athletics, students will mature physically, emotionally, and socially.
Participation in athletics is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the activity, to the student body, to the community, and to the students themselves. At FHS, we are proud of the behavior and sportsmanship displayed by players, coaches, and supporters. We value healthy rivalry, encourage spirited and fair play, and appreciate positive support offered by spectators.
Franklin players, coaches, and fans represent themselves, their teams, and their School with pride and poise. We treat visiting teams and officials as guests, extending to them every courtesy. We are modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
