    Mission Statement

    The Stephenson Elementary Library exists to promote information and digital literacy to all students, staff, and the community. Students will become proficient in accessing information in the contemporary world through collaboration, research, and critical thinking. The Stephenson Library aligns with the school's mission and vision statements by providing equitable access to diverse resources and advocating for an inclusive environment. The library collaborates with staff, teachers, and parents to prepare students to contribute to their communities as citizens, lifelong learners and instill in them a love for reading.


    Borrowing & Return Policies

    • Kindergarten: 2 books 
    • 1st & 2nd : 3 books 
    • 3rd -5th : 5 books
    • More books may be checked out to students at the librarian's discretion when a student's account is in good standing.
    • You may receive an e-mail indicating that your child has an overdue book. This comes from our automated software and serves as a courtesy reminder. Please contact the Library directly with questions and concerns.
    • Students may borrow books for 14 days = 2 weeks, plus 2 renewals (unless someone else places a HOLD on the book)
    • You will receive a courtesy e-mail notice 3 days before the book is due reminding you to renew or return it.
    • You will receive an automated overdue notice via e-mail after 14 days, and then again after 28 days.
    • Daily fines are not accrued; however, if a book is not returned by the end of the school year, or if it drowns, is eaten, burned, or otherwise damaged you will be charged for the cost of replacement.
    • Bills are generated in School Pay for unreturned materials at the end of each year. In addition, bills are generated by the librarian as books are damaged or determined to be lost throughout the school year.
    • Students are limited to 2 books from the same series and no more than 2 graphic novels at a time.
    • Students may renew their own books by logging into their account . 
      Students should use their èßäapp¹ÙÍø network username and password.

      This username/password is the same as StudentVue, Google Apps, etc. 
  • Donate

    The library is ALWAYS in need of new books. We prefer you pick something off our wish list or make monetary donations. Shelf-ready books require review by the school librarian to meet the needs of our collection, be age-appropriate, and meet content-quality standards.

    We do not accept unsolicited used books.
