    Easy to use search engine for people to find affordable housing (30% of income) all throughout èßäapp¹ÙÍø, OR. Housing Connections also operates the Rent Well Program which is a course for people with rental barriers such as evictions, criminal history, and/or poor credit. When you complete the course you are provided a certificate. There is a list of landlords that have agreed to accept Rent Well certificate holders as tenants.     Assists low-income and homeless families and individuals gain self-sufficiency by providing affordable housing, family support services, job readiness training, and economic development opportunities. They own and operate 17+ affordable housing sites in East èßäapp¹ÙÍø, Gresham, and Fairview. See website for listings of buildings with descriptions and contact information. They operate the Emergency Family Shelter at 16015 SE Stark St. They provide rental assistance, utility assistance, and limited eviction prevention.

    Impact NW offers both permanent housing and support services for families experiencing homelessness, as well as transitional housing for families, especially those dealing with substance abuse, mental illness, or DV situations. Transitional housing also offers support such as job-readiness training, parenting classes, and after-school programs. For families facing eviction, they also provide Emergency Rent Assistance. Utility assistance also provided.

    NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE

    Neighborhood House offers a transitional housing program to provide hope and stability for homeless families with children. Turning Point offers small one bedroom efficiency units located in Southwest èßäapp¹ÙÍø, as well as 'scattered site' housing throughout Multnomah County. Families need to be referred by a social service agency. Also offer utility and food assistance. 

     


     

    NORTHWEST HOUSING ALTERNATIVES

    Offers low income rentals primarily to seniors and families. The Home Base program offers Emergency Rent Assistance to families on the verge of homelessness, as well as help with eviction and relocation. They also operate an emergency family shelter called Annie Ross House. 

     


     

    OXFORD HOUSES OF OREGON 

    Alcohol/drug free shared housing living environment. Each house is self-supporting and democratically run by the members. Must have a desire to live clean and sober, be able to pay an equal share of expenses, have completed alcohol/drug treatment, and had a significant period of abstinence.
