8th grade families residing in a Dual Assignment Zone are given the chance to choose between Jefferson Middle College or their comprehensive high school for their address. An email was sent to currently enrolled 8th grade families of their high school assignment options and a link to declare their dual assignment choice. Visit the 8th Grade Info page or go to a school's website to learn more about their school options.

Note: your dual assignment decision is required, even if you are also applying to other schools, to ensure your student has a selected high school for the fall if other options are not granted. Families who do not choose by December 16, 2024 may have a school designated for them through a random lottery.

èßäapp¹ÙÍø families use the hardship petition process to request a transfer out of a child’s current/assigned èßäapp¹ÙÍø school and into a different èßäapp¹ÙÍø school. See the Petition Process Overview at www.pps.net/petitionprocess to learn more about the transfer process.

To apply, sign in/sign up for ParentVUE and select Neighborhood School Hardship Petition Grades 6 - 12 under the applications listed for the 2025-26 school year.

Submit petitions by December 16, 2024 for best chance of placement.

Due to limited space, wait lists are closed at most schools for the remainder of this school year.  Individual waitlist updates were sent to families in mid-October.  Please call/email if you did not receive a waitlist update.

If you are considering a mid-year transfer, please start by contacting your student’s current counselor or school administrator.  Enrollment and Transfer will not process mid-year transfer requests for current students without a referral from their school.
