Safety & Drills Discussion:

Monthly Safety meetings are held with Office, Health assistant, Teacher, Custodial and Administrative staff

Teachers have access to dates, protocols and procedures.

Everymonth-teachers review safety procedures with students for at least 20 minutes in order for students to feel prepared.

Every school is different, we have a map of zones. Each admin reviews each zone for any type of drill

We use our walkie talkies. Keys to each classroom to check areas and ensure safety
These are mandatory and important drills. Here is a schedule of all of the mandated èßäapp¹ÙÍø drills for the year:
Monthly Fire Drills - the first drill must occur with-in 10 days of the start of school. Weekly fire drills are required ONLY for schools that have K-2 students located above the first floor.
September and March - Lockdown Drills
October and April-Earthquake Drills - We had our first earthquake drill on October 18, 2018 at 10:18 am. Our next one will be in April.
November - Lockout Drill
January-Team Response Drill
Parent/Teacher Conferences: Partnering to support your child
Parent/teacher conferences are a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher, see your child's classroom and learn about how your child is doing in school. It's also a great time for you to ask questions or talk about any learning-related concerns. Creating a partnership with your child's teacher around your child's learning can make a big difference.
