Update from Foundation:

The purpose of the SMS Foundation is to raise funds to put more adults in the school to support teachers and students.

• The Sellwood 5K has been tentatively rescheduled for September 13, 2020. Here is the pre-registration form.  ( The Sellwood 5K has been tentatively rescheduled to the spring of 2021)
• The èßäapp¹ÙÍø Fund is also raising money to help our students and their families during this unpredictable time for our community and world. Here is that link:

What is the Foundation?

The Sellwood Middle School Foundation is the only school organization that can raise funds to support teaching and staff positions to benefit students. These funds have been historically used to provide students with new electives, including foreign languages, art, and music. These opportunities would not be possible without foundation funds and are dependent on your support. 

How Do I Donate? 

• Visit  to explore donation opportunities, including employer match funds. 
•  You are encouraged to make either a one-time donation or better yet become a monthly donor. Monthly donors provide a critical and dependable base of support.  
• Donate your cans and bottles using the Bottle Drop. You can get blue Bottle Drop bags from the front office. Once full, you drop them at any Bottle Drop location and the money is deposited into the Sellwood Foundation account.  For more info visit:
