You Can Learn Anything!
Do you value a challenge? Did you know that you learn more when you get something wrong than when you get it right? (If you're willing to go back and examine why you got it wrong the first time to figure it out.) Your intelligence is not fixed. Every time you apply yourself to a challenge and persevere until you figure it out, you form new connections in your brain, and thus increase your intelligence. You can learn anything!
I encourage you to risk making mistakes this year in science, and know that through those mistakes, you will grow, learn, and achieve. I believe that you can learn anything!

Syllabus - 7th grade
This is the syllabus for 7th grade science. It is lengthy, but my goal is to include everything you will need to know.
I also created a CONDENSED SYLLABUS that is only two pages and hits on the highlights of the 8-page syllabus from above. It has QR codes linking you to the website, the calendar I update every day, the online textbook, and the grade book.

How to Study
You will have periodic tests and quizzes in science. They are your chance to prove to yourself how much your hard work has resulted in learning. In addition to working hard in class, you will need to study at home. Studying within 24 hours of being exposed to material increases the chances that the material will end up in our long-term memory. Therefore you should bring your science notebook home every night to study whether or not you have an assignment. This document lays out some ideas on how to use the resources already in your notebook to study!
