    Step 1: Pre-Registration

    Pre-Registration for Spring Evening Scholars will open around mid-day on Monday, February 5.

     

    Online Registration is only open to èßäapp¹ÙÍø HS Counselors. . 

    If you are a èßäapp¹ÙÍø HS Counselor and are having difficulty accessing the Registration site, please contact Kurt at the PESS Office: khanson2@pps.net.

    * note: to access the Registration page, you will need to logged into your "@pps.net" Google account (jdoe1@pps.net). Make sure you are not logged into a non-èßäapp¹ÙÍø Google account.

     

    Fall 2024-25 Notes

    • All Evening Scholars courses during Fall 2024-25 will be In-Person at various locations (see below)
    • All fees for Fall 2024-25   Evening Scholars courses are being waived for èßäapp¹ÙÍø Students.
    • All students who are registered for a class will be enrolled as space allows, per the Enrollment Prioritization Schedule, unless a parent or guardian requests opt out of Evening Scholars.
    • Fall 2024-25 Class schedule will be available when registration opens on Sept 10.

     

    Fall 2024-25 Dates:

    • Registration will open around mid-day on Tuesday, Sept 10
    • Classes meet once per week, from Sept 30 - Jan 16
    • No School Dates
      • Nov 4 (Monday only- Teacher planning day)
      • Nov 11 (Monday only- Veterans' Day)
      • Nov 25-28 (Thanksgiving Break)
      • Dec 23 - Jan 2 (Winter Break)
      • Jan 15 (MLK, Jr. Day)

  • èßäapp¹ÙÍø Evening & Summer Scholars Attendance Expectations

    èßäapp¹ÙÍø Evening Scholars is not an online program.  We have 13 classes to cover 18 weeks worth of work.  Attendance is critical and expected.  We do not have ‘excused absences’. 

     

    Absence 1: Classroom teacher contacts home.

    Absence 2: Classroom teacher contacts home.

    Absence 3: Students complete an Attendance Agreement with the site Administrator as well as communication home. 

    Absence 4: The students' participation in Evening Scholars will be considered and the Principal determines whether or not the student gets one last chance to remain enrolled.  This will be based on grade level, grade in class, engagement in class, and follow through on Attendance Agreement. 

    Absence 5: Students will be unenrolled from PESS without exceptions.  

  • Enrollment Prioritization (based on class cohort during the current school year)

    1. Summer Scholars will not enroll students for grade improvement or credit advancement. Students in these situations are invited to enroll in Evening Scholars. 

      Summer and Evening Scholars are listed below, separately.

      èßäapp¹ÙÍø SUMMER Scholars follows a prioritization process for situations when classes fill up to a maximum capacity. Our prioritization process is as follows:

      1. èßäapp¹ÙÍø Seniors 

      2. èßäapp¹ÙÍø Juniors, Credit Recovery and Credit Deficient

      3. èßäapp¹ÙÍø Sophomores, Credit Recovery and Credit Deficient

      4. èßäapp¹ÙÍø Freshmen, Credit Recovery and Credit Deficient

       

      èßäapp¹ÙÍø EVENING Scholars follows a prioritization process for situations when classes fill up to a maximum capacity. Our prioritization process is as follows:
