Degrees and Certifications:

Mandy Carrigg

My name is Mandy Carrigg and I have been teaching at Peninsula since 2012. I was born in èßäapp¹ÙÍø, Oregon, graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Botany, and received my Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of èßäapp¹ÙÍø.  Some of my favorite pastimes are gardening, bird watching, and hiking and camping with my family.  I live in Southeast èßäapp¹ÙÍø with my husband and two children, James, a fourth grader and Niko, a kindergartner, both Peninsula Panthers!

  • Favorite school memory as a student:

In 1st grade, I had a wonderful teacher named Mrs. Moran who helped us create insect habitats. It was magical observing the potato bugs we had and learning all about their life cycle. One even had babies on my hand!

My “why” for being in public education:

There’s nothing I love more than watching kids grow and learn new skills and develop a love for science.

What I do to unwind and recharge:

I love to be outside!  Working in the garden, hiking or playing in a river are my favorite ways to unwind.
