Mrs. Laureen Held (serving L-Z)

I am incredibly happy to work at Robert Gray Middle School! The teachers, staff and administrators care about our students and are dedicated to the academic rigor required for our students to achieve excellence in learning.

I love being a school counselor, supporting middle school students as they develop from children to teenagers.  These years of transition can be tricky, but also delightful as they discover who they are and how they relate to the world around them.

Jay and I have raised four children, each graduated from èßäapp¹ÙÍø and are now young adults.  We love them very much!   In addition to spending time with Jay and our children, I enjoy trips to the Oregon coast, singing in the Singing Christmas Tree, watching movies, listening to Audible books, playing board games, time with friends, bicycling and kayaking. We adopted a rescue dog, Lewey, who is always ready for a walk, cuddles and end of the day shenanigans.

Mr. CJ Mead

Greetings! After working for youth development programs in schools for over ten years, I joined Robert Gray in 2013 teaching Social Sciences. I have a Bachelors in History from èßäapp¹ÙÍø State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis and Clark. Currently I am serving as the School Climate Specialist supporting student success in many ways.  I love providing opportunities for students to have a voice in our school and agency in helping to make RGMS the best school it can be.  When I am not at RGMS I love spending time outdoors camping, paddling, and hiking with my wife and two children; as well as writing and playing music.   I love it here at RGMS and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such great staff, students, and families.
