  • Favorite school memory as a student: 

    I always loved the first day of school. There were so many things to look forward to - seeing my friends and teachers, having a new schedule and a new classroom, learning new and more advanced things from the new textbooks, etc. I also loved my new uniform and brand-new school supplies. Believe it or not, I looked forward to doing my homework. Yes, I was a nerd and I LOVED SCHOOL!

    My “why” for being in public education:

    Public education gives me the privilege to serve and work with families who come from various sociocultural and language backgrounds.

    What I do to unwind and recharge:

    I ride my bike, take a nap, or read a book.
