• Harrison Park Cell Phone Policy

Harrison Park, and èßäapp¹ÙÍø policy, is that cell phones are not visible and in use the entire day. At Harrison Park, students know we expect them to be “off and away all day”. Upon entry into the building, students should power off and put them away. In the event a student needs to make contact with their parent/guardian, they are welcome to use a phone in the office or arrangements can be made for them to use their personal phone in the office. In the event a student has their phone out, we will be following these procedures:

    Misuse:

    1st Instance Staff will:

¡ñ Verbally remind the student of the cell phone policy “silenced and away all day”

    2nd Instance Staff will:

¡ñ Remind the student of the cell phone policy “silenced and away all day”

¡ñ Write a stage one referral and communicate this to the student

    ¡ñ Contact the Student’s Parent/Guardian

3rd Instance & Beyond The teacher will:

¡ñ Write a stage 2/3 referral and call an Administrator.

    Administrator will:

    ¡ñ Contact the Student’s Parent/Guardian

¡ñ Relay to the Student and Parent/Guardian the school’s cell phone policy and consequences. Students will be put on the following Phone Plans:

1st time = Turn phone in for one week

2nd time = Turn phone in for two weeks and parent will be asked to come in for a conference to partner with ways to help their scholar comply

3rd time = Turn phone in for four weeks

Continued usage = Turn phone in for the remainder of the semester and/or year

Phone Plans will require students to:

    1. Students turning phones in will check their phone in at the office and retrieve it at the end of the day.

    Or

    B. Leave their phone at home during school hours.
