• Locker Policy/Protocols

The purpose of student lockers is to provide a secure place for students to store backpacks, coats and other personal items while they are at school. Lockers are owned by èßäapp¹ÙÍø and are provided for students' use. At Harrison Park, students are asked to provide their own lock. Students will be asked to share their combination, if applicable, with their advisory teacher. This is to ensure the student has access to the combination in the event they can not remember it. Students with key locks may choose to provide a key to their advisory teacher as well. We will follow district policies around locker searches (èßäapp¹ÙÍø Search Policy ).

    Logistics

    • All students will be assigned a locker by their advisory teacher.

    • Students should provide their own locks for their locker. A limited number of locks will be available for purchase. In the event a student is unable to purchase a lock, we will work with the family to ensure their student has one.

    • Students will be asked to share their combination with their advisory teacher. Advisory teachers will secure combinations and will only use the list to provide the student with the combination in the event they forget it. Admin/Staff will abide by district policies for searching lockers etc.

    Expectations

    • Students will be expected to place backpacks and large bags in their lockers for the duration of the school day. Backpacks or bags will not be allowed in classrooms.

    • Lockers are assigned to individual students. Students should not share lockers and/or share their combinations with peers.

    • Lockers are the property of the school district and are on loan to students. Students should not attach stickers or other permanent decorations to their lockers. They are welcome to use magnets and other non permanent hooks etc. to their lockers.

In the event a student has specific needs, we will work to ensure they are able to be successful in class. If parents have concerns, they are encouraged to reach out to a member of the administration team.
