Jarryd Baxter
Jarryd Baxter is a third-year teacher at Ida B. Wells. He teaches Spanish 1-2 and Spanish 3-4, working with freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Before going into the teaching profession he was a chef at multiple restaurants nationwide. Baxter has lived in many places around the country, but spent most of his life in Atlanta, GA. In his later years, Baxter moved across the country to Seattle, WA. Now Baxter resides here in èßäapp¹ÙÍø, OR. In his free time, Baxter likes to cook, read, walk his dog, and watch movies with his wife. Baxter is also a JV2 girls soccer coach. Baxter thinks that community is vital and being a part of it is one of the many important things you can do as a teacher. “Learning another language is a new way to think about the world,” he says.
