Susanne Cuatt

Susanne Cuatt is one of the current academic support teachers here at Ida B. Wells. She was born and raised in New York, briefly lived in Florida and received her undergraduate in psychology in Texas as well as her teaching certificate. Cuatt began her career in education teaching deaf students and has now been a teacher for over 30 years, spending six of those here in èßäapp¹ÙÍø. Outside of school you can find her hiking, tour biking, gardening, reading, or cross country skiing. She loves the outdoors and enjoys windsurfing as well, which she did while she lived in Hood River as well as helping to start a program for troubled young people called “The Next Door”. She says she was inspired by Helen Keller, and just like her, Cuatt continues to help people find their way. She’s thrilled to be surrounded by a community and staff she loves, and says she’s very lucky to have a job she enjoys and to be excited to come to work every day.
