Ben Hunter
Benjamin Hunter is an English teacher here at Ida B Wells. He grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and spent his teenage years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He started his college education in Houston, Texas. Then, he took some time off and returned to school to get his degree in English at PSU. Before he became a teacher, he worked at Powell’s Books for 16 years. He says that he loves books and could live in a bookstore. He has been working at Ida B Wells for four years, and he says, “My favorite thing about working here are the students.” In his free time he enjoys reading, gardening, hanging out with his wife and playing with his dog and his two cats. He also enjoys playing the banjo.
